Skandia Sail for Gold regatta
Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy
6 to 14 August 2010
Skandia Sail for Gold regatta is the major international event in the UK and the seventh and last event of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Sailing World Cup series and will take place in the first two weeks of August 2010. The event will be held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, the venue for the 2012 Olympic Games. The best sailors in the world will be competing for medals in the 10 Olympics classes and the three Paralympic classes. There will be seven race courses within Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay.
The Royal Yachting Association is responsible for organising the regatta and as part of its management of the organisation of the event is looking to appoint a Venue Manager to the Event Management Team to deliver certain aspects of the event including: Venue Management Planning, Logistical Venue Planning, On-site Venue Contractor Management, Venue Volunteer Management, Security, Car Parking, Entry and Exit Routes.

Anticipated Commitment
