The GJS Graduate Internship programme is a new funded scheme to offer graduates the chance to work in businesses & gain valuable employability skills. The scheme is aimed at unemployed graduates, ideally from 2008 or 2009.
***You must have permission to work in the UK for the duration of the internship period.***

The Employer:
New Media Software develops software communication products that are sold though a number of partners and distributors throughout the world.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will join our busy technical support team and help our customers and partners install and use our products. Support cases are dealt with by phone, email and by use of remote support tools.
The company has invested in an online self service portal that is designed to enable customers to access support information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Intern will take an active role in producing problem solutions and other useful customer information for publication on this support portal.
Towards the end of the Internship, there will also be an opportunity to work with our pre-sales team, who deliver pre-sales support to our resellers and customer presentations.
The company plans to recruit full time staff in June, so this Internship could lead to a permanent position.
Essential skills
• Completion of a computer related degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and ability to work in a team
• Experience using MS Office and Web based applications
Desirable skills
• Experience of Local Area Networking, mapping drives, IP communications, etc
• Administration and Management of MS Server 2003 / 8
• Adobe Flash
• Manipulating image and graphic files
