Graduates can be unaware of the fantastic opportunities available to them with local employers. This initiative aims to help you, the employer by matching your vacancies to the skills of students and graduates.
Please note that this service is only open to employers who are recruiting for a graduate or student vacancy located in the South region. Employers with over 250 employees will be charged to use the service.

- Primarily with small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs), companies with up to 250 employees

Our candidates
Our extensive database contains a cross section of graduates, including postgraduates and students who have all expressed a genuine desire to work in the regional area and who are from across the UK and beyond. The database is a mixture of those who are about to graduate, recent graduates and also graduates that have already built up substantial amounts of work experience, in conjunction with their studies.
How we market GJS to candidates

- Student and graduate jobs located in the South will be advertised on the GJS website until the application deadline passes.
- Jobs are also emailed out to our registered candidates when the vacancy matches their profile.
- GJS heavily promotes its service to Southampton Solent University, the University of Southampton and the University of Winchester at Careers Fairs, through printed and online promotion, at careers guidance interviews, presentations, on Facebook and much more.
- Across the UK we promote GJS to higher education careers services for those students and graduates who may with to return, or start their career in the South.

Student and graduate jobs located outside of the South will be advertised within the University of Southampton, Southampton Solent University and the University of Winchester’s careers services as they have their own jobs sites for graduate jobs outside of the South. Please contact the careers service to advertise a vacancy on these sites.
