After going through the 8 applications we selected 4 to come to the office for interview. Arranging the interviews directly with the applicants suited us well.
How this scheme differs from the way you normally recruit
We normally recruit by advertising and processing the applicant ourselves in house. In the past we have advertised at Universities and Colleges in the area.

What advice would you provide candidates when applying for jobs?
Research the company advertising to ensure that this is something you are interested in and to improve your chances of being recruited by showing knowledge of the company background. Ensure that you arrive on time and look smart. Make sure you have given thought to what an internship entails especially if you are giving up employment for what may result in a short term position.
